Lockdown-Mankind on wheels
Yet another humane deed undertaken by Dr John Joseph Foundation where 25 bags of dry ration was distributed to the needy residents of Chennai. The lockdown has almost killed the spirits of people but with the help of Onside Soccer, United Kingdom, who sponsored the monetary value for the rations,it shows that humanity still lingers around the world.
Indian Council For Child Welfare, Chennai recently contacted the Chennai Child Welfare Committee saying that they knew children and their families who were struggling to make ends meet due to either the bread winner of the families passing away or due to the strict lockdown restrictions.
Even during the strict lockdown restrictions, We, the Dr John Joseph FoundationDr. John Joseph foundation took the initiative and were able to buy the groceries which includes 5kgs rice, daal, oil, Maggi packet, Rava, Sugar and salt which would be suffice for the families for at least a month. The Childline team members helped the volunteers of Dr John Joseph Foundation identify the needy families in and around the areas of Pushpa Nagar, Collector Nagar, T. Nagar,Nungambakkam, Choolaimedu Aynavaram and made sure that the dry rations reach them efficiently. The Childline India Foundation has been on constant battle with children in need of Care and protection and has been doing a great job ensuring the safety of these children during this pandemic. Here at Dr. John Joseph foundation, we collaborate with several organizations to be a helping hand to the poor and needy during this difficult times and we strive to distribute more dry rations in the coming days.
